Leadership for ages 13 to 16
Counselors in Training at Riverview
The CIT program is designed just for teens ages 13 to 16. It is a favorite program and a real character-building opportunity, designed to develop dependability, responsibility, maturity, conscientiousness and integrity.
CITs learn leadership in one of their favorite activities, riding for example. They take that activity as a camper, then during another period help its counselors work with younger campers.
Many of our college-age senior counselors completed the CIT program as campers, and Junior Counselor positions are open to those who have aged out of camp. Teens can also come to camp at a discount as a Working Counselor in Training: call 256-634-4043 for a WCIT application.
